Getting enough protein is so important in pregnancy. It supports the growth and development of the fetus, builds a healthy brain, and provides building blocks for baby’s cells. It can also curb morning sickness. Eating protein first thing in the morning can help keep that morning sickness at bay. I always suggest getting all your protein and vitamins from whole, nutrient dense food sources. When using a protein powder, always look for ones made with real, whole foods.
